If you are a Bible Teacher for Jesus and the Kingdom of God, you better teach for Jesus! Jesus died for you, offered a free gift for you and loves you, supplies your bread and butter. Teach for him - yield completely to Him, witness for Him, stand by him and stand by the institution He represents.

The Kingdom of God needs Bible Teachers, good Bible Teachers, passionate Bible Teachers.

Here are two apt descriptions of what in Christian circles known today as "Passion".

1. Corinthians 14:1-3 (The Message)
Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it—because it does.

Ephesians 5:18-20 (The Message)
Don't drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him. Sing hymns instead of drinking songs! Sing songs from your heart to Christ. Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of our Master, Jesus Christ.

You cannot accept the spirit of Christ and not live life impassionedly. You cannot teach, and not be passionate about it. Passion for life and Christ is a result of your spiritual gifts.

Passion for Life is a mark of a Christian.

Spiritual Gifts - What are they?

Definition: The skills and abilities which God gives through His Spirit to all Christians, which equip Christians to serve God in the Christian community. When the Spirit comes to an individual He brings at least one and probably more gifts that equip the believer to serve God, by serving the Christian Community. The gifts you are given will "fit you in" to your calling, in this case, Bible Teaching.   If you are called to be a Bible teacher, you will be equipped through gifts from God, commonly known as Spiritual gifts to develop your Bible Teaching experience.

The Christians’ views of spiritual gifts start with Jesus.

Jesus was and is:

1.  The Special bearer of the Spirit (Mark 1:10).

Mark 1:10- 11 (The Message)
At this time, Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. The moment he came out of the water, he saw the sky split open and God's Spirit, looking like a dove, come down on him. Along with the Spirit, a voice: "You are my Son, chosen and marked by my love, pride of my life."

2.  The Spirit gave Him power and direction

Luke 4:14-21   (The Message)

To Set the Burdened Free

"(14-15) Jesus returned to Galilee powerful in the Spirit. The News that he was back, spread through the countryside. He taught in their meeting places to everyone's acclaim and pleasure.

(16-21) He came to Nazareth where he had been reared. As he always did on the Sabbath, he went to the meeting place. When he stood up to read, he was handed the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. Unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written,

God's Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the burdened and battered free, to announce: "This is God's year to act!

He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the assistant, and sat down. Every eye in the place was on him, intent. Then he started in, "You've just heard Scripture make history. It came true just now in this place."

3.  Jesus promised His followers the Holy Spirit.

Mark 13:11 (The Message)

"When they bring you, betrayed, into court, don't worry about what you'll say. When the time comes, say what's on your heart—the Holy Spirit will make his witness in and through you.

Luke 11:10-13 (The Message)

"Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we're in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn't think of such a thing - you're at least decent to your own children. And don't you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?"

4. The Spirit is given to all Christians

Acts 2:1-4 (The Message)

A Sound Like a Strong Wind

When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force - no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them.

Acts 2:17-18 (The Message)

Peter Speaks Up

That's when Peter stood up and, backed by the other eleven, spoke out with bold urgency: "Fellow Jews, all of you who are visiting Jerusalem, listen carefully and get this story straight. These people aren't drunk as some of you suspect. They haven't had time to get drunk—it's only nine o'clock in the morning. This is what the prophet Joel announced would happen:

"In the Last Days," God says, "I will pour out my Spirit on every kind of people: Your sons will prophesy, also your daughters; your young men will see visions, your old men dream dreams. When the time comes, I'll pour out my Spirit on those who serve me, men and women both, and they'll prophesy.

I'll set wonders in the sky above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billowing smoke, the sun turning black and the moon blood-red, before the Day of the Lord arrives,    the Day tremendous and marvelous; and whoever calls out for help to me, God, will be saved."

5.  The Spirit would continue to be given to all who accepted the Christian gospel

Acts 2:38 (The Message)

Peter said, "Change your life. Turn to God and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is targeted to you and your children, but also to all who are far away - whomever, in fact, our Master God invites."

The Apostel Paul wrote:

Romans 8:9-11 (The Message)

But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won't know what we're talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells - even though you still experience all the limitations of sin - you yourself experience life on God's terms. It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive and present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's!

When the Holy Spirit comes into a person’s life, He brings with Him different gifts, which that person will use in the serving of God.

1 Peter 4:7-11 (The Message)

Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God's words; if help, let it be God's hearty help. That way, God's bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he'll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!

The Bible never suggests that some Christians might be without gifts. The fact is this: All Christians are given gifts. The gifts received are always in the context of the Christian Community. We are not limited to the list of gifts found in the Bible. They are simply a starting place for your adventure in Christ. Gifts are simply a tool chest from which you can gather help for your calling, in this case, Bible Teaching. There are many gifts today that did not get listed in the New Testament. Just to name a few: The gift of music, working with youth, the gift of writing, and the gift of explaining. Spiritual gifts are not just natural abilities. Spiritual gift and natural abilities both are included in the lists we have.

Romans 12:4-6, 6-8 (The Message)

(4-6) In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we're talking about is Christ's body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn't amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ's body, let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or prideful comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren't.

(6-8) If you preach, just preach God's Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don't take over; if you teach, stick to your Bible Teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don't get bossy; if you're put in charge, don't manipulate; if you're called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don't let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face.

Whatever skills a Christian has are given to him by God and are to be used in God’s service. When you receive gifts from God, you will know about it. You will not have to guess about them. Your life will be changed.  Here are some of the evidences that will become apparent in your life.

1.  Passion for learning: What you know now and have experienced so far in life is a mere drop in the bucket compared to what will be come evident to you in the future.  You will never stop learning.
2.  Passion for awareness: It will become awesome to you that you are able to see beauty in every place you look. Details will be noticed, details you have overlooked before.  People, personality, trees, sunrises, dances, sand, children and even literature. You will take notice of them and they will become awesome in your sight. God put this all together for you.
3.  Passion for openness: Sometimes culture causes defensive shields to be put up around us. These defenses make you immobile. You will lose your defenses and understand the details of what you are undergoing.  Your life will be touched and changed by love.
4.  Passion for people: Love is the greatest. Love is your evidence of your encounter with Christ.
5.  Passion to serve God: You not only believe in the great commission, it will be a part of you and you will feel that it becomes not only a part of you, but it will take control over all your life.

What are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit?

Gifts of the Holy Spirit are special abilities provided by the Holy Spirit to Christians for the purpose of building up the body of Christ. This includes but are not limited to wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

These gifts of the Holy Spirit are simply God enabling believers to do what He has called us to do. Once you realize that the Creator of the Universe has given you tools personally shaped for you in your situation, how could you live and do your calling with anything less than passion?

Can we refine our definition of the gifts of the Sprit?

Yes, as long as it is understood that any definition for the Gifts of the Spirit is inadequate. While the precise nature of each of the gifts can be debated; this list contains their basic definition.

Wisdom: Thought of as having the ability to make decisions and at the same time, able to give accurate guidance in accordance with God's will.
Knowledge: Having in-depth understanding of an issue concerning the community in Church
Faith: No matter what life brings to our situation, the ability to trust God and at the same moment being able to encourage others to trust God
Healing: The ability to let God work through you in healing, restoration the sick and injured, physically and/or mentally.
Miracles: The performance of signs and wonders in the context of God's message to man kind.   The key word here is “context”
Prophecy: The proclamation of the message from God.  Does not mean telling the future
Discerning of spirits: The enables someone to determine if a message is really from God.
Tongues: The ability to speak in a foreign language that you do not have knowledge of, in order to communicate with someone who speaks that language.
Interpreting of tongues: The ability to translate the tongues speaking and communicate it back to others in your own language.
Administration: Keep things organized, all in accordance with God's principles.
Helps: This is having the desire and at the same time, ability to help others.

1 Corinthians 12-14 (The Message)

Spiritual Gifts

(1-3) What I want to talk about now is the various ways God's Spirit gets worked into our lives. This is complex and often not understood, but I want you to be informed and knowledgeable. Remember how you were when you didn't know God, led from one phony god to another, never knowing what you were doing, just doing it because everybody else did it? It's different in this life. God wants us to use our intelligence, to seek to understand as well as we can. For instance, by using your heads, you know perfectly well that the Spirit of God would never prompt anyone to say "Jesus be damned!" Nor would anyone be inclined to say "Jesus is Master!" without the insight of the Holy Spirit.

(4-11) God's various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people!

The variety is wonderful:
  • Wise counsel
  • Clear understanding
  • Simple trust
  • Healing the sick
  • Miraculous acts
  • Proclamation
  • Distinguishing between spirits
  • Tongues
  • Interpretation of tongues.

All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when.

(27-31) You are Christ's body - that's who you are! You must never forget this. Only as you accept your part of that body does your "part" mean anything. You're familiar with some of the parts that God has formed in his church, which is his "body":
  • Apostles’
  • Prophets’
  • Bible teachers
  • Miracle workers
  • Healers
  • Helpers
  • Organizers
  • Those who pray in tongues.
But it's obvious by now, isn't it, that Christ's church is a complete Body and not a gigantic, uni-dimensional Part? It's not all Apostles, not all Prophet, not all Miracle Worker, not all Healers, not all Prayer in Tongues, not all Interpreter of Tongues. And yet some of you keep competing for so-called "important" parts.

But now I want to lay out a far better way for you.

1. Corinthians 13

The Way of Love

“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
  • Love never gives up.
  • Love cares more for others than for self.
  • Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
  • Love doesn't strut,
  • Doesn't have a swelled head,
  • Doesn't force itself on others,
  • Isn't always "me first,"
  • Doesn't fly off the handle,
  • Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
  • Doesn't revel when others grovel,
  • Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
  • Puts up with anything,
  • Trusts God always,
  • Always looks for the best,
  • Never looks back,
  • but keeps going to the end.

Love never dies!

Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be cancelled.

When I was an infant at my mother's breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.

We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!

But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love. “

From this:

“Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it - because it does."

Jesus meant life is to be lived passionately.

As a consequence, anything you undertake for Him must be done from a position of passion. In fact, I will go one step further, if you are a Christian; your Bible Teaching cannot help but be done from a position of passion. In Bible Teaching, with no passion, your students will detect your lack of it and not accept what you are saying because they sense you do not really accept what you are saying.

You should - no, you must- be passionate about life.

This will make you glad to be alive. It will make you glad for being given the ability to enjoy what God has given you.

You must challenge yourself to live life passionately.

Having passion for what you are about will enable you take a few chances. Take chances for Christ?  What an idea. Celebrate your life and your calling to teach.

What is Passion?

For the Christian, true passion is from God. Passion is the result of how you live your life after receiving your gifts from God. Passion is the result of a gift of the spirit. This gift will combine all the experiences you have had in life, making them have a new meaning combined with the totality of all the experiences we've lived through.

When you have a passion for Bible Teaching, it gives you the power to live and communicate with enthusiasm.

The student will see you have passion for them and for the subject you are communicating when your mind, body and spirit are working together to make manifest you personal experiences and most sacred values. You will receive power from the gift of passion you have received and this power will enable you to overcome obstacles. It will soon become evident, just as your faith in Christ is energizing, the gift of passion also has an energizing component it is a gift, genuine and you can't fake it. Your student will be able to judge if you are sincere about what you are presenting.  They will know if you have experienced what you are talking about. Passion for what you are saying will be their test to judge the worth of what you are saying.

We all have seen fancy dressing preachers who drive luxury cars and have wonderful offices that do not impress us.  Most of the student will not be impressed once they detect a lack of passion. Passion draws the line between what is said and what really is.  The power of your passion permits others to see who you really are. Can you imagine how much more meaningful our roles as Bible teachers and spiritual leaders would be if all of our actions were predicated upon our diverse passions? Can you imagine a world where our witnessing for Christ revolved around meeting the real needs of the people we come in contact with?

Passion for Christ gives shape to our existence, inspires and makes the heart and mind open to what we face in our classrooms. The passion for Christ is our food, gives us purpose, and enables us to finish the ministry God has given to us. Passion is the energy that comes from bringing more of your gifts into your classroom, your Bible Teaching.

Passion and Self-Discipline

How important is passion as a success factor in Bible Teaching?  What does self discipline have to do with it? Some people believe it’s the single most important factor, citing passion as the gage of the dept of your experience with Christ. Passion is not simply an emotional state that cheapens it. Rather, it is a reflection of your commitment to Christ.  Passion from or because of your spiritual gifts, motivate action. And action is what generates results in your Bible Teaching.

Results come from actions (no action, no results) Your Passion for Christ will lead to action and results will be generated.

The Bible Teacher and self discipline

Self-discipline plays a large factor in your actions. Therefore aid in getting results
Self-discipline includes but may not be limited to the following things.
  • Get enough sleep
  • Putting in enough study time on your subject.
  • Keeping yourself physically fit

From all of these, having enough energy to do your Bible Teaching.

Passion is underwritten by self-discipline. Passion can wax and wane, depending upon your physical presence. Is the body presented to Him over large and out of condition and too tired to perform the ministry in the proper way? Can people get a good idea of what God is like by the way you present yourself to Him and for His Bible Teaching ministry? Passion is supported by self discipline. Sometimes you’re highly motivated. Motivation aside, your motivation will do no good if you let yourself become a wreck.

This will contribute to your Passion for Bible Teaching having peaks and valleys. The expression of your faith can depend on how much rest you have, your physical condition, your vacation schedule, and your level of stress. Hungary?  Too worn out to get into the word?
Using passion as your only fuel may not assure you of success. Therefore, Self-discipline is very important aide to the expression of your passion for Christ and the job He gave you to do.  In this case Bible Teaching.

Passion results in Self-Discipline?

Titus 2:1-6 (The Message)

A God-Filled Life

Your job is to speak out on the things that make for solid doctrine. Guide older men into lives of temperance, dignity, and wisdom, into healthy faith, love, and endurance. Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, and be good wives. We don't want anyone looking down on God's Message because of their behaviours. Also, guide the young men to live disciplined lives.

Self-discipline will aid in the ability to get yourself to take action regardless of your emotional state.

What could you accomplish if you could follow through on your best intentions?

Without self-discipline that intention may not become manifest. But with sufficient self-discipline, it’s a done deal. The pinnacle of self-discipline is when you reach the point that when you make a conscious decision; it’s virtually guaranteed you’ll follow through on it. You physical condition will aid, not detract from your classroom experience. Self-discipline is one of many personal development tools available to you. Of course it is not a panacea.

Nevertheless, the problems which self-discipline can solve are important. Self-discipline can empower you to overcome any addiction or lose any amount of weight and gain enough energy to accomplish what you need for Him. It can wipe out procrastination and disorder.

Self-discipline is a powerful tool when combined with other tools like passion, goal-setting, and planning.

Imagine if your will are telling your body that the mid section is much too big.

"Body get some exercise and trim your waist line"!

Without self-discipline it won’t happen.

However apply self-discipline and it will be a done deal.

You have developed self-discipline to the peak when you make a conscious decision; you follow through on it and do it with passion.  Self-discipline can empower you to overcome any stumbling block in the path of your ministry, or embark on new Bible Teaching methods. You will not put things off, accomplishing tasks with out disorder.

We all possess different levels of self-discipline.  Not everyone has developed their discipline to the same degree. Just as it takes muscle to build muscle, it takes self-discipline to build self-discipline.

Self-discipline is a gift from God.
If the Bible Teacher (Christian educator) could functionally be the kind of Bible Teacher described in the New Testament, then the classroom would have a nurturing environment that would produce more vivacious Christians.

The sequences of your Bible Teaching results in a web of relationships of the Christian Community that are potentially edifying or damaging for a person’s spiritual growth. The Christian educator is concerned with life, the building of believers, and a transformation of the total person to be more like the person of Jesus.

1. Thessalonians 5:19-22 (The Message)

Don't suppress the Spirit, and don't stifle those who have a word from the Master. On the other hand, don't be gullible. Check out everything, and keep only what's good. Throw out anything tainted with evil.

The Bible Teacher need to be persistence

Passion results in Persistence?

Persistence is the ability to maintain action regardless of your state of mind.

You keep on keeping on. You press on even when you are not on "top of the world".

When you undertake a new dimension of your ministry, your motivation may wax and wane like waves hitting the shore. There are many reasons for these peaks and valleys. Sometimes you’ll question your motives; sometimes you won’t.  But it’s not your motivation that will produce results - it’s your stick-to-it-ness. Stick-to-it-ness allows action taking even when you aren’t in the mood to do so.
  • Is your plan still correct? If not, update the plan.
  • Is your goal still correct? If not, update or abandon your goal.
  • Are you still yielded to Him? Correct this situation.
  • Employ some self examination there’s no honour in clinging to a goal that no longer on track with His will.

Persistence is not stubbornness

Persistence of action comes from persistence of vision. Do not forget what you came for.  Have a clear idea or vision about what you want. This will lead to consistency of your actions. And that consistency of action will produce consistency of results. All of this illustrates the persistence of your faith. Here’s a list of challenges to get you thinking about where you stand right now:

  • Do you pray every day?
  • Do you search the Word every morning? Including weekends?
  • Do you examine yourself?
  • Do you have any attitudes you would like to overcome but haven’t?
  • Is your prayer list current right now?
  • Is your office neat and well organized?
  • Is your home neat and well organized?
  • How much time do you waste in a typical day? On a weekend?
  • Do you keep your word?
  • If you make a promise to yourself, do you keep it?
  • Could you fast for one day?
  • How well organized is your personal calendar?
  • Do you exercise?
  • What’s the greatest challenge you’ve ever faced?
  • How many hours of focused work do you complete in a typical workday?
  • How many items on your to do list are older than 180 days?
  • Do you have clear, written goals? Do you have written plans to achieve them?
  • How much TV do you currently watch? Could you give up TV for 60 days?
  • Can you tell me what you’ll be doing tomorrow? Next weekend?
On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your overall level of self-discipline?

What more could you accomplish if you could answer that last question with a 9 or 10?

Without self examination, you simply don’t know how disciplined you are. Ever think about it?  Without it, you’ll only have a fuzzy notion of what you can and can’t do. If you’re in a state of denial about your level of discipline, you’re locked into a false view of reality. You’re either overly pessimistic or optimistic about your capabilities.

Passion and Will power

Proverbs 6:6-11 (The Message)

A Lesson from the Ant

You lazy fool, look at an ant. Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two. Nobody has to tell it what to do.

Willpower works

It has limitations, just like other things in life you must learn what it can and cannot do. If willpower doesn’t work for you, maybe you are trying to use it in a way that’s beyond its capabilities.  Willpower is your ability to set a course of action and step on the gas. Willpower provides a platform to what you are engaging in. if directed intelligently, it can provide that boost you need to overcome inertia and create progress.
  • Willpower is the pointed force of self-discipline.
  • Willpower is a concentration of force.
You aim all your energy and make some progress. You attack your problems at their weakest points until they crack. This will allow you enough room to get deeper into the solution. You cannot sustain this high energy output if you attempt to use it for too long.

To sum it up:

Use Willpower to Create Self-Sustaining Momentum that will carry you though to a solution.

You may face "burnout"

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (The Message)

“You've all been to the stadium and seen the athletes’ race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You're after one that's gold eternally.

I don’t know about you, but I'm running hard for the finish line. I'm giving it everything I've got. No sloppy living for me! I'm staying alert and in top condition. I'm not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself. “

Passion and Hard work

Do not deny or forget this fact: Working for Christ is hard work. Lazy and slobs do not and can not serve Him because of their attitude. Hard work is that which challenges you. And why is challenge important? Do you always seek to do things the easy way? Many people will do what’s easiest and avoid hard work. Don’t fall into that trap. The output to your students will be valueless - and that’s precisely why you should do the opposite.

The superficial classroom Bible Teaching will be attacked by hordes of people seeking what’s easy. The much better way will produce challenges which will be seen by your students as giving them a lot more opportunity in life.

Strong challenge is commonly connected with strong results. When you discipline yourself to do what is hard, your Bible Teaching will produce results that no one else can.

Hard work pays off

When someone tells you otherwise, beware of the source. Steer clear of what about to come next. The greater your capacity for hard work, the better students will be produced.
  • Maintaining good heath is hard work.
  • Finding your proper relationship with your students is hard work.
  • Leading them to a proper relationship with Jesus is hard work.
  • Being organized is hard work.
  • Setting goals, making plans to achieve them, and staying on track is hard work.
If you don’t know what needs to be done, the first step is to figure it out. This may require you to seek out information and educate yourself.

Put in the Time

There are many problems in life where the solution is largely a time investment.

Taking care of an overloaded email in box is not a challenging problem.  Getting your email inbox to empty is purely a matter of time. Maybe it will take you several hours to do it. If it’s worth several hours to get it done, then put in the time. How many problems do you have on your “to do” list right now that can be solved with the simple application of time and effort that does not require much thought? Sometimes you don’t need to be creative about it - a brute force solution will do. It easy to get stuck in a pattern to think that a brute force solution wasn’t necessary. It’s tedious and boring. It’s not that important anyway. And yet it still needs to be done. You must get these underlying task completed in order to be effective of your efforts in Bible Teaching.

Advantages of facing the tasks of Bible Teaching correctly

1. You will become totally obsessed with what you're doing – Time passes quickly. You're on a 'high' when you're preparing to teach. To you Bible Teaching is not 'work'.  You enjoy every bit of time spent and spending your time doing exactly what excites and makes you happy. When you're away from it, you can't wait to get back to it.
2. You're totally focused when you're doing what you love. You feel like you've on a “high” You feel this is “worth your while” Time spent for Him is always worth your while.
